december photo session with powell woulfe photography

angela from powell woulfe photography did a great job capturing some beautiful images of the kids and me a couple of weeks ago.  we met her this summer for a super-awesome photo session with the whole family and decided to meet up at old poway park again. i just love it there, its beautiful AND its right around the corner from us. i am thrilled with some of these incredible images she gave us. thanks for sharing your gift. i know i will cherish these beautiful photos for the rest of my forever. :)

this sunday the lovely military wife behind powell woulfe photography captured my children so brilliantly - i couldn't be more grateful!  she was so sweet and so in tune with my young children (of course she is, her life is blessed by her own little) - a fun and effortless photography session at old poway park.  she never stressed about the kids behavior, never asked us to pose them, she just let us all roam and be ourselves and do our thing and hovered, placing herself ever so perfectly to be ready to snap away when the right moment presented itself.  i could tell she was passionate about photography and felt so at home seeing and capturing the beauty of real life moments through the lens of her camera.  thank you, angela for these beautiful memories. i've only seen the two photos below as a sneak peek and already feel completely justified in giving rave reviews! we're dying to see the rest! see more here at her blog.

carrie coleman photography

while visiting shannon on the east coast, we got to sit in on miss peyton's newborn photo shoot and the wonderful miss carrie snapped some photos of the kids and the mommas too. am so grateful to have a few sweet, amazing images of us at this stage in our life. carrie is so talented, and she is also a very busy high school student....with a professional website to boot! i love the brick and the lighting and the sweet little moments you captured. thank you carrie coleman for sharing your talent with us! carrie coleman photography (photos posted with her permission, she also gave permission to save and print and enjoy!). doesn't shannon look amazing a few days after giving birth? yes, she is a rock star for sure.  and speaking of rock stars, peyton made the news! she is part of a group of babies locals are calling "lemon drop babies" because their mommas all ate a lemon drop cupcake from a local bakery and went into labor within 24 hours of eating it! shannons OB actually recommended it as an option for "inducing labor" - what a riot!  see the news story here!  peyton is lemon drop baby #18!

this is the first picture i have with shannon a "few" years ago while in port victoria. i love this gal like a sister! and oh my goodness, time sure has changed things - look at us both mothers of two littles!
