my boy is so funny. i've laughed out loud at him so many times just today - and stifled several more laughs during those oh-so-funny-but-not-good-behavior demonstrations. when he knows you are laughing at him, he gets a big grin on his face and puts on an even better show! he was quite the show-off while skyping with daddy today - what fun for all of us to watch! can't wait to sit together with reid and watch our little crazy man do his thing. after his nap today i built him a fort. i felt like i was out of fun ideas of ways to pass the day so i did what i would have done if i were bored as a child - blanks over a table = instant fort. and he loved it. he calls it his "tunnel" which i adore. he spent most of his time playing in the tunnel chasing, coercing, herding his beloved baxter into the tunnel with him. once i put a comfy cozy little kid armchair in there, baxter helped himself right on in and curled up to watch the fun. pete was more than pleased with this arrangement. can't wait til betsy can crawl on in and join in on the fun!
baxter is definitely liking the toddler bed arrangement and the fact that he can hop right on up and cuddle with the little man. he knows at bedtime when we are reading books he has at least 15 good minutes of cuddling without having to fear being rolled over, squished, pinched, etc (yes, these are the ways my 2 year old shows his love). he really does love pete and i think once pete learns better body control and perfects the concept of gentle touch, these two will be inseparable. other than when baxter is loving on betsy, of course.

I loved forts when I was little! I have some great memories of building and playing in them!
These were some of the best times for Jeremy and Zach too. We used to have picnics in the fort. As a matter of fact I think that the boys had forts until about 2 years ago. They would sleep in them when friends came over.
