betsy's room

grandpa nannen helped put the almost-finishing touches on betsy's room this weekend. some wall-art rearranging and some hanging of things and there it is. just a few last things that need to be tended to and the "vision" will be complete.....and while i've been dolling up betsy's room, i've been taking things OUT of pete's room one by one as he explores them beyond levels i'm comfortable with. so far this week he's peed in a dresser drawer (and then used the contents to clean it up, bless him) and had a number 2 in the armchair we read books in together at night which was quite the catastrophe requiring a bath and lots of clorox wipes to clean up. soon he'll be in an empty room with nothing but a mattress in the corner, poor kid. but, i will say - the big-boy-bed situation is getting better and easier and more predictable (or maybe at this point i feel that it'll be hard to get much worse!). and the video baby monitor we invested in has put me so much more at ease knowing just what he is up to behind that closed door!

 i know the perfect books to sit atop that little pink shelf - my beatrix potter books! (thanks annie!)

 can you believe our sweet betsy bear will be 6 months old tomorrow?
