kidsville

saturday we had a blast at kidsville in carlsbad for a friend's birthday party....what a great concept: a huge room with little cave-like themed rooms all around it for kids to go into. the themes are things like grocery store, doctor's office, schoolhouse, fire station, etc. the contents of each room are toys that go with the them - so the grocery store had little shopping carts and plastic food you could load into your carts, the doctor's office had a bed and doctor's kid and dress up clothes to dress like a doctor. you get the idea. it was so awesome and petey had a blast! it was nice to have a place where he could have total freedom and the adults were right there to supervise from afar but there wasn't much to supervise. there was nothing they could break and very little to worry about as far as hurting themselves went. it was fun for all.

petey's sweet friend ryan was all about these ponies with sparkly hair.  i mean, he carried them around the entire 2 hours we were there. we were teasing his mom about how proud his daddy would be if he could see him. :)
