the days after Christmas

petey has been quite busy eating clementines. they are his new favorite. and avocados.  he's also taken his climbing activities to new levels, having stood on top of the coffee table, climbed into the bathtub (with a basket full of toilet paper he had just unrolled) fully clothed and shimmied his way onto our bed multiple times.  there are few places in the house he has yet to explore.  thankfully he hasn't decided to scale the bookshelf yet, but i'm sure that's a coming attraction.  he's also headed up the steps into the big boy tree house in the backyard which means its going to be my project in the very near future to get it all cleaned up and de-spidered.

he cheered the bears onto victory the other night. what a great game, we enjoyed watching it with adam and emily who see see far too infrequently these days (i tell emily she was more fun when she was unemployed, hehe....).  no, pete did not watch the game since he still goes to bed at 6 pm regularly (and is sleeping through the night regularly which makes me quite pleased!) but he did sport his little bears sweatshirt from aunt bethany all day long.

in addition to climbing, the days have been filled with tiny bits of cuddling and lots of playing with new toys from his very loving family and friends - yes grandma's, all the boxes have arrived and everything is in perfect shape. thanks for shipping christmas to us! (and oh dear, that sweet little pointer finger that points at the dog, points at airplanes in the sky....has now found a wee little new nook to explore-and yes, his daddy thinks its hilarious).

shannon, greg and tommy enjoyed their trip to hawaii and now are back for just a flurry of fun before flying to the snowy, blustery east coast tomorrow.  greg and shannon are ushering at the rose bowl today and hoping their buckeyes will pull out a big win so we're having a blast watching these two boys enjoy having the perfect playmate.  we'll likely hit the trails to head to the park later in the day with these two cuties tucked into pete's new, wonderful wagon!
