catching up - saying goodbye

so very much has happened in the weeks since our last post. my goodness.  another week with the nannens in hopedale while reid and his dad road-tripped san francisco to hopedale in our nissan to store it while we're away, a wedding in madison and a few more days to finish up the trip back in bloomington with my family.  so much bustling and busy-ness and so many fun memories made.  as the trip went on, the logistics of managing 3 overtired babies became a bit more burdensome, something we simply had to practice awareness of, but we still managed to squeeze some fun, friends and family into our days "at home".

first time on the tricycle - i think he's ready for a real bike!

happy birthday to grandpa!
exploring capitol square in madison
loved seeing my kids run around the same grassy lawn of the capitol building where i ran around as a kiddo
madison has an incredible children's museum...i wanted to be a kid, but enjoyed exploring through our kids eyes.

recycled art making studio - just a bunch of random bits and pieces and your imagination to create. betsy loved using the scissors for the first time ever
there was a lake to lake race going on - people would carry their canoes across capitol square from one lake to the next. so cool seeing all the teams go by
hanging out in the back of the rocket ship
building blocks
somehow this is the only picture from the madison wedding
everyone sitting around watching betsy play in the pool

great grandma and grandpa handel

bumpah and his mini-me with happy smiley faces
betsy kay and great grandma janalee kay snuggling and watching a movie together

aunt elle stealing a snuggle from betsy
the grandmas passing the baby around

running around in his jammmies
looking at the birdies in deedee's tree
aunt elle in the midst of a whirlwind of babies

momma and her girls
betsy taking a bucket ride
right before we high-fived in the van for having made it home with all our luggage. then we laughed at ourselves and realized in less than a week we'd be traveling MUCH farther and with more pieces of luggage. :)
